Thor - 2014 Agility, Obedience & Rally Results

June 15, 2014 - North Shore Dog Club Trial
Thor got his 7th leg in Rally Novice with an 82, I did not do a station correctly so we got 10 points off but no big deal these are practices for us.  The AWESOME news is he got a 198 in his Beginner Novice A class with a first place.  He did so well but we did have to do a second recall but this judge knew the rules and did not call it as an NQ.  Thor is such a great dog, even though he is very timid he wants to do well, I am so proud of his progress.

If you have a chance to show under Judge Rick Cox do so, he is very nice, funny and is great with the Novice people.  No experience with the upper classes but heard no complaints.

Next trial we will be doing Rally Advance but not until the end of July so we have time to practice off leash before then.

May 31, 2014 - Fox River Valley Trial
The trial was at the McHenry fairgrounds in Woodstock, IL on rather a hot day.  I was lucky to get a spot in the shade since it was a very hot day and as the day went on the building got hotter than the outside.
Thor got another leg in Rally Novice with a score of 86, he was very uncomfortable in the new place.  We did Beginner Novice for the first time, Thor was awesome in his healing, sit for exam and his sit-stay.  The last exercise was the recall which he normally comes right to me but something must have gotten his attention, he veered off and I called him again. Automatic NQ but the judge was really nice, explained the rules and said he would have done the same thing.  I am so proud of how well he did for his first time. UPDATE:  Found out that the judge made a miss call, a second recall is allowed in Beginner Novice A but not in Novice.  Sad but it was a good learning experience for me, remember to read your rules carefully so if a judge calls something wrong you can contest it.

March 30, 2014 - Lakeland Dog Training Club Trial
Thor qualified with an 88 so he now has 5 legs in Rally Novice.  We had an issue on one of the stations when he heard a noise and it freaked him out, we were not able to complete the finish properly which is the reason for the lower score.  His timidness is the reason we are going to so many places to do Rally.  We won't do any more until late May and if he does well with off leash we may try RA.

March 15, 2014 - Badger Kennel Club Rally Trial I & II
Thor got his RN Title with a score of 93 in Trial I
Second Trial score was 81 but we didn't finish a station properly so we need to work on fronts and left finishes.  Proud of him at how well he is doing.  We will stay in Novice on leash until he is ready for Advanced.

January 25, 2014 - Janesville Beloit Kennel Club Rally Trial I & II:

Trial II ran first - 95 points first place
Trial I              - 94 points second place
